Google's self driving car needs some work

The dreams of robot cars took a bit of a hit in the last month; a video showing a Google Self-Driving car hitting a public bus was recently released. The footage comes from the bus's internal surveillance cameras. In it we see the driver and passenger's reaction as a Lexus SUV automated by Google systems sideswipes the bus.

Google engineers quickly responded to the incident by updating the autonomous programs to adjust for what they called the "bullying" behavior of public transportation.  I guess we will all have to wait a little longer before we can take our eyes off the road and nap on the way to work.
