Dodgers Baseball on TV Again

I don't know about you, but we were pretty upset when we weren't able to watch our Boys in Blue on TV because we didn't have a subscription to Time Warner Cable. Well, it looks like that may be about to change. The Justice Department is going after DirectTV and AT&T for collusion in the Dodgers baseball deal.

The Long Journey of Getting Rail Back in LA

After WWII LA began to quickly sprawl as working class whites left the heart of the city for the suburbs. At the same time our rail system began to decline as citizens began choosing autmobiles as the favorite mode of transport over mass transit. Today, nobody would argue that our freeway system is a mess and we need more mass transit options, specifically rail.

Read the LA Times article about the long process of getting rail back to the city.

Hasta La Vista LA Sports Arena

Today the LA Memorial Sports Arena was demolished. The once iconic venue and one-time home to the Lakers, Clippers and Kings is no more. We remember watching our favorite LA teams battle it out in the arena and though it had its problems, it is still sad to know it's gone.
